CiC 2010 - Helping You Communicate Conditions,
Procedures and Treatment Options.
Clinical
Information Centre (CiC) is a computer-based program
designed to be used chair-side to help you explain
dentistry. This tool enables you to interact at a
level of complexity suitable for each individual patient
so that they understand your treatment proposals and
give their informed consent.
“A picture
paints a thousand words” and CiC uses high quality 3D
animations, patient information leaflets and clinical
photographs to make this process fast and effective.
There are 196 full screen animations like this one. A full
List is
available here.

(this requires a higher speed of broadband) In
the full program this animation would fill the whole
screen and is in a very high quality.
196
High Definition 3D Animations The program covers 196 topics with animations which are
very realistic, but without being threatening to the patient.
Increases Patient's Acceptance -
Because
patients understand their condition, CiC will dramatically
increase the acceptance of your treatment proposals.
Fast and Effective -
Animations last a maximum of one minute, most around 30
seconds, meaning that the patient quickly understands.
Provides Flexibility - Short sequences can
be used to influence the patient towards or away from a
treatment option.
Overcomes Language Barriers - Not just foreign
languages but also the jargon of dentistry.
Patient Information Leaflets A patient information leaflet on
most subjects supports the
animations and can be edited, personalised to your practice, printed
on demand and even emailed to patients. Leaflets contain still
images from the animations to remind the patient what they saw and
heard in the practice. You can see a sample patient leaflet
here.
Images
& Optical Clipart The program has the facility for you to add digital images
from your retinal scanner as well as images of frames and
accessories.
Systems
Integration Integrate With Your Practice Management System – the
program records what you show a patient and this can be copied
into your PMS system or printed out for patient record cards.

moderately large running CiC "across" a computer network
should be avoided when possible and instead it should be
installed on the local PC.
